The Sharecropper Project field of soybeans was harvested in late September. Because of the dry summer we had the yield was down but the quality was surprisingly good and Arthur was able to get a good price when the crop was sold. As a result, with proceeds from the crop and donations from our members, St. John’s United Church in Oakville, and other people from the community, the total raised for the project to date is just over $34,000. Awesome!
There is still time to contribute to the 2016 Project. You can make donations until December 31. Mark your offering envelop with “Sharecropper Project” or contact us if you cannot put your donation in the offering plate.
