2024 Sharecropper Project Results

The final tally is in. Bethesda’s 2024 Sharecropper Project raised over $41,000 for the Canadian Foodgrains Bank (CFB) and when matched by the Canadian government amounts to $205,000 in food aid and other support to alleviate hunger in the world. 2024 was the 25th year of our Sharecropper project. With the proceeds from the 2024 Project our total amount raised over the 25 years is over $600,000. At our special Sharecropper Sunday on November 17 we enjoyed an informative presentation by two local farmers who participated in a tour to Nepal to visit some development projects supported by CFB. Bethesda received a certificate of appreciation from the City of Markham for our 25 years of working to relieve hunger in the world and our partner Galten Farms was recognized by CFB with a certificate of celebration for their 25 years of support. Our Sharecropper Project was also recognized with an article in the Markham Review newspaper.
